President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, speaking with journalists, said that Ukraine is ready to seek a compromise with Russia on sensitive issues related to energy and grain.

Energy and grain supplies are important not only for Ukraine and Russia, but also for many other countries. The president mentioned India, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Asian countries, and other states.

"Grain and energy are painful points for Ukraine and Russia. And these are painful points for the whole world. And for India today, for the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Asia, and many countries. We are ready to find a compromise," the president said.

Zelenskyy called for mutual steps

The head of state separately noted that when discussing a possible compromise, the actions of both sides must be taken into account. According to him, Ukraine has already made a large number of compromises and should not remain the only side that continues to take steps toward the other side.

Zelenskyy linked further progress on these sensitive issues not only to Kyiv's readiness to seek solutions, but also to the need for corresponding actions on Russia's part.

The president also emphasized the international importance of energy and grain issues, as they affect the interests of several regions and countries at once.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told journalists that he expects to hold a meeting with US President Donald Trump in the 20s of September. This could be a face-to-face meeting in the second half of the month.
