Zelenskyy says Ukraine eliminated more than 10,000 Russian troops in a week

This week, Ukrainian forces neutralized 10,660 Russian military personnel, including those killed and wounded. There have been important results in the Lyman sector, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Today, the president heard a report from Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi.
"There are important results by our forces in the Lyman sector in Donetsk region as part of Operation 'Vivaldi,' as well as by the Air Assault Forces group as part of another one of our active defense operations," Zelenskyy said.
According to him, the destruction of Russian forces continues, and the set objectives are being achieved. Overall, this week, Ukrainian units neutralized 10,660 Russian military personnel, including those killed and wounded, across all active combat zones on the front.
In addition, each such Russian casualty is accompanied by video evidence.
The president noted that the most intense fighting is taking place in the Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka and Lyman sectors. Operations are also underway in Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv and Sumy regions.
"Every such week on the front, which becomes ours, Ukrainian in terms of the overall situation, prevents Russia from launching a larger offensive against Ukraine. The Commander-in-Chief and I have also identified our next active steps," Zelenskyy added.
Operation Vivaldi
As a reminder, in September, the Third Army Corps launched the offensive operation Vivaldi in northern Donetsk region.
The Defense Forces are gradually clearing and liberating settlements.
In particular, Ukrainian forces drove Russian troops out of the settlement of Serednie without losses, completely clearing it and taking the settlement under control.
It was also previously reported that the Defense Forces had managed to liberate an area larger than Zhytomyr. During the fighting, Ukrainian troops eliminated concealed enemy forces and established a foothold for a further offensive in the region.
Today, we reported that the Third Army Corps used a new tactic during Operation Vivaldi - deploying upgraded ground robots equipped with grenade launchers to attack Russian positions without the direct involvement of infantry.
