Zelenskyy says Ukraine contributed the most to the war in 2024

Ukraine is not only counting on assistance from the United States and European countries, but is making a significant contribution to winning the war, both in people and funds, said President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a briefing with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
According to Zelenskyy, the allies should not forget about Ukraine's contribution to the war.
“The war of 2024 cost about 100 billion for Ukraine to provide the Defense Forces, of which 40 billion is Ukraine's contribution. 35 billion - the United States, Europe - 25 billion. This is an approximate contribution of each of us. That is why we see the strength in this alliance and show what Ukraine's contribution is. Of course, it is people, but you can also see the percentage of money,” the president said.
Situation at the front
As of November 2024, the number of the Russian group was estimated at 575,000. At the end of the year, Ukraine's intelligence reported a stable number of 600,000.
Ukraine's Western partners believe that Russia advances due to the insufficient size of the Defense Forces. That is why they are trying to influence the lowering of the mobilization age in Ukraine. However, Zelenskyy emphasized that before increasing the army, it is necessary to provide weapons and equipment to the existing 100+ brigades.
According to Zelenskyy, the situation on the battlefield is currently quite difficult, especially in the eastern part of Ukraine, where Russia is suffering significant losses.
