In Paris, leaders of European countries discussed new defense packages for Ukraine. They also decided to extend sanctions against Russia, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

He shared that the key topics at the meeting of European leaders in Paris were:

  • strengthening Ukraine's security,

  • applying pressure on Russia to achieve peace,

  • agreeing on joint security steps.

Europe confirmed its ability to defend itself, and now, together with Kyiv, is working on ensuring greater security for Ukraine and all European nations.

Zelenskyy also noted that the leaders tasked the military representatives of countries willing to take concrete steps to ensure peace by holding meetings and working out the relevant details.

He also added that new decisions have been made regarding the investments of partners in Ukraine's defense production. The president emphasized that the Danish model continues to operate effectively, and this year, together with its partners, Ukraine will produce more drones and other weapons to protect lives.

"Thank you to every leader, every country that helps Ukraine. Thank you to France and the United Kingdom for the effective format of a coalition of the willing and capable of working for security," the Ukrainian leader concluded.
