Zelenskyy's warning on Russian skies instantly crashes Aeroflot shares

Shares of Russian carrier Aeroflot fell by more than 5% after President Volodymyr Zelenskyy issued a warning for airlines flying in Russian airspace, according to Meduza.
According to the Moscow Exchange, at around 8:40 p.m. Moscow time, Aeroflot shares dropped 5.11%, reaching a low of 30.36 rubles per share.
Zelenskyy's statement, which triggered the drop in Aeroflot shares, was made that same evening. The president stated that Ukraine is beginning to close the sky over Russia - according to him, Russian airspace is becoming dangerous for civil aviation due to the massive presence of drones, and Kyiv is warning international airlines and insurers about the need to take these risks into account.
At the same time, the president emphasized that Ukraine is not threatening civil aviation specifically.

In response, Putin has already threatened a "response" to Zelenskyy's words, calling the statement about closing the sky a "bid for state terrorism" and stating that Moscow does not negotiate with terrorists. According to the Russian leader, he has already ordered preparations for massive strikes on Ukraine's energy sector in retaliation.
Media outlets previously reported that earlier this year, Ukrainian officials allegedly proposed to Zelenskyy attacking Moscow airports with drones, but the plan was suspended at the time.
It envisaged launching up to 1,000 drones per day at airports in Moscow and its surroundings - cheap autonomous drones were supposed to independently find and hit targets without operator involvement.
