The Ukrainian side does not plan to hold talks with Russian representatives on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference. Earlier, US President Donald Trump had announced the possibility of a meeting between representatives of Kyiv and Moscow at the event, states Dmytro Lytvyn, the communications advisor to the President of Ukraine.
"The Ukrainian position remains unchanged. Ukraine must first talk with America. Europe must be part of any serious dialogue for the sake of genuine and lasting peace," the official said.
He emphasized that only a coordinated joint position should be on the table for talks with the Russians.
"There are no meetings with the Russians at an empty table. At the moment, there is nothing on the table. Talks with the Russians in Munich are not planned," Lytvyn stressed.

According to the American president, the event will include high-ranking officials from Russia, Ukraine, and the US.
A meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US Vice President JD Vance had previously been announced to take place on the sidelines of the Munich conference.
Additionally, on February 10, Western media reported that while Zelenskyy is expected to attend the conference in Munich, negotiations would take place behind the scenes.
