Russia launched hundreds of airstrikes on Ukraine in one week, firing over a thousand aerial bombs and hundreds of attack drones, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to him, over the past week, Ukraine has endured hundreds of Russian attacks using various types of weapons: around 1,250 aerial bombs, over 750 attack drones, and more than 20 missiles of various types.

Zelenskyy emphasized that only decisiveness can stop the terrorists. That is why Ukraine is constantly working with its partners to enhance its defense capabilities and reduce Russia's ability to terrorize Ukrainians.

"Long-range capabilities are crucial. Sanctions are essential. Lowering the price of oil is important. The key is to act in unity and protect lives with resolve.," the president stated.

Night drone attack

On the night of January 26, the Russians once again attacked Ukraine with drones. The occupiers launched 72 drones from five directions. Air defense forces destroyed 50 drones, while another nine enemy drones, used as decoys, were lost in radar tracking.

Air defense was active in Kyiv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Khmelnytskyi regions.

The Russians attacked Kharkiv with drones, damaging residential buildings.

Additionally, the occupiers struck the city of Sumy, damaging a building of one of the educational institutions, a residential apartment block, and administrative buildings.
