Zelenskyy: Russia launches nearly 1,000 bombs and drones against Ukraine in a week
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy states that Ukrainian cities and villages are under relentless assault by Russian forces, who continuously employ various methods for shelling.
“Over the past week, Russia has used nearly 500 guided aerial bombs, more than 400 attack drones, and almost 20 missiles of various types against Ukraine,” Zelenskyy stated.
According to him, this is daily terror, which is why this war cannot remain a problem for just one nation.
“Joint actions are needed from everyone who values life, in Europe, America, and around the world. Only together can we achieve a just peace,” the president emphasized.
Attacks on Ukraine
Earlier, on the night of December 9, the Russian Federation launched two missiles and 37 drones against Ukraine. Air defense systems were active in nine regions.
Additionally, it was reported that over three months of autumn this year, Russia launched more than 6,000 missiles and drones at Ukraine. This is four times more than in the autumn of 2023.
In particular, according to the General Staff, in August, September, and October 2024, Russia fired 4,300 attack drones at Ukraine. These included Shahed drones as well as other UAVs mimicking real Shaheds.
