Zelenskyy reveals Russia's drone and missile attacks on Ukraine this week
Russian army launched nearly 80 missiles at Ukraine this week alone. The enemy also actively used guided aerial bombs, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Facebook.
He stated that since the beginning of the week, Russia has used against Ukraine:
- over 700 guided aerial bombs;
- more than 170 various types of strike drones;
- nearly 80 missiles.
"The scale of this evil must be matched by the scale of decisions to protect life. Every partner can influence the situation, can strengthen the defense against terror," Zelenskyy emphasized.
He thanked Ukraine's partners who are already helping the country defend its skies.
Massive strike
On Monday, July 8, Russian occupiers launched a massive missile strike on Ukraine. Kyiv was among the areas targeted.
One of the missiles hit the children's hospital Okhmatdyt. There were reports of injured children and doctors, as well as several fatalities.
Later, it was reported that a child who was in the ICU at Okhmatdyt during the strike had died.
