Zelenskyy reveals details of negotiations with Trump

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on his Telegram shared details of his meeting with US President Donald Trump, describing it as "very symbolic."
"A good meeting. We managed to discuss many important issues one-on-one. We hope for results on all the matters raised — the protection of our people's lives, a complete and unconditional ceasefire, and a reliable and lasting peace that would prevent the recurrence of war," he said.
Zelenskyy described the meeting with Trump as "very symbolic."
"It has the potential to be historic if we achieve common results. Thank you, President Donald Trump!" added the president.
Funeral of Pope Francis and the Zelenskyy-Trump meeting
On April 26, the Vatican held the funeral of Pope Francis, who passed away on April 21. Thousands of believers and nearly 50 world leaders gathered for the ceremony.
As part of the event, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy met with President Trump — marking their first meeting since the dispute at the White House on February 28.
