Zelenskyy reveals details of Commander's-in-Chief report on frontline situation
Chasiv Yar and a number of other areas in the Donetsk region, as well as the Kupiansk direction, are the hottest spots on the frontline today, says Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to Zelenskyy, today he was briefed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi. The report concerned the hottest spots on the frontline.
"Chasiv Yar and other key areas in Donetsk region: Pokrovske, Kurakhove, as well as Kharkiv region - Kupiansk direction. Our positions, our results. I am grateful to every soldier, every commander, all our combat units, who are really accurate and resilient," the Ukrainian president said.
According to Zelenskyy, Syrskyi also reported today on the defeat of targets in the occupied territory, as well as on the operations carried out and the preparation of planned ones.
"The Russian army has to suffer losses every day, and every such day of Russian losses brings us closer to the peace we need," he emphasized.
Conversation with Umerov
Also today, the President spoke with Defense Minister Rustem Umerov about providing Ukraine with air defense systems.
"The key is air defense. We are doing everything possible, contacting all possible partners to increase the protection of the sky - to increase the number and quality of air defense systems in the hands of our soldiers. Every leader and every country that helps in this are real life savers," Zelenskyy added.
Situation at the front
The Russians continue to storm Ukrainian positions in Donetsk, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions. The enemy is also trying to drive Ukrainian forces out of the bridgehead on the left bank of the Kherson region. However, the Russians are suffering heavy losses.
Thus, over the past day, the Ukrainian military eliminated 950 occupants, and the total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the invasion is 459,530.
Chasiv Yar is one of the hottest areas of the frontline. According to British intelligence, the Russians are using the same tactics against Ukrainian defenders in Chasiv Yar as they did in Avdiivka.
