Ukraine has spent $320 billion on weapons over three years of war. Out of this amount, the United States has provided $67 billion in weapons, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy states at a press conference.

"I think we need to figure it out with aid. We have absolute figures. The war has cost us $320 billion - $120 billion is from us, the people of Ukraine, and $200 billion is from the US and the EU," Zelenskyy said.

As the President noted, he was referring to weapons: "This is a $320 billion weapons package."

"In total, the US alone has given us about $67 billion - that's what we have received in weapons. And we also received an additional $31.5 billion in financial aid for the budget," Zelenskyy said.

Western aid

According to the Kiel Institute, Western countries provide Ukraine with modest but stable aid amounting to €80 billion per year.

In total, over three years, Ukraine has received approximately €267 billion in aid. Out of this total amount:

  • €130 billion (49%) was allocated for military assistance,
  • €118 billion (44%) for financial support,
  • €19 billion (7%) for humanitarian aid.

Europe has overall surpassed the US in the volume of aid to Ukraine, allocating:

  • €70 billion for financial and humanitarian assistance,
  • €62 billion for military aid.

The US has allocated:

  • €64 billion in military aid,
  • €50 billion in financial and humanitarian funding.

Earlier, Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of Ukraine's Defense Intelligence, stated that without US support Kyiv will struggle to resist Russian aggression.
