US military aid to Ukraine will not be suspended, states Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a press conference with Moldovan President Maia Sandu. This follows the US State Department's decision to halt foreign aid for 90 days.

The president noted that he is not yet ready to comment on the US State Department's decision but emphasized that military aid to Ukraine will not be halted.

"I know there are some restrictions, we need to look at them in detail. The restrictions are for 90 days on humanitarian programs. I know there are many institutions around the world that the US government previously supported. I don’t know about this, I don’t see this money. I can only say that Ukraine might not receive what I’m dealing with. I am focused on military aid, and it has not been stopped, thank God," Zelenskyy stated.

Trump's decision on foreign aid

It’s worth noting that US President Donald Trump signed an order temporarily suspending all US foreign aid programs for 90 days to conduct checks and determine whether they align with his political objectives.

The Pentagon confirmed that this decision does not affect military aid to Ukraine.

On January 24, the US State Department issued an order to "cease operations" of existing international aid programs and suspend new ones. For Ukraine, some humanitarian aid was frozen.

Additionally, according to The New York Times, the US suspended several programs for accepting immigrants, including Ukrainian refugees.
