It is crucial to establish all the circumstances and motives of the attacker who drove his car into a crowd at the Christmas market in Magdeburg. Violence must never and nowhere prevail, President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, stated in his X account.

"Shocking news from Germany, where medics are fighting for the lives of those injured after the horrific attack at the Christmas market in Magdeburg. Violence must never and nowhere prevail," he stated.

According to the president, Ukrainians are praying for the medics to succeed in saving the lives of the severely injured.

"It is very important to establish all the circumstances and the motive of the attacker. We stand with the residents of Magdeburg and all Germans on this difficult day. Stay strong, dear German friends," Zelenskyy emphasized.

Tragedy in Magdeburg, Germany

In Magdeburg, a car drove into a crowd of people at the Christmas market on December 20. Many were injured in the incident.

Eyewitnesses reported that the car drove directly into the crowd near Magdeburg's town hall. People fled in panic.

Initially, it was reported that 20 people were injured in the incident. Media also reported fatalities. As of now, it is known that 5 people have died, and over 200 were injured. Most of those at the market were families with children.
