Zelenskyy: People trapped under rubble in Poltava, we do everything to rescue them
The Russian army struck a training center in Poltava with two ballistic missiles. People are still trapped under the rubble, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared this information during his evening address.
According to Zelenskyy, he has already received preliminary reports regarding the Russian strike on Poltava. Early reports indicate that the Russian forces used two ballistic missiles.
"Unfortunately, there are many casualties. It is known that people are trapped under the rubble of the destroyed building. Every effort is being made to save as many lives as possible. According to the current information, this Russian strike has killed 51 people," Zelenskyy said.
The President noted that law enforcement agencies and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine are investigating all the circumstances of this tragedy.
"The air raid alert was issued. Every other detail must be established and verified during the investigation," he emphasized.

On the morning of Tuesday, September 3, the Russian army struck a training center in the city of Poltava. As a result of the attack, the Communication Institute in the city was partially destroyed. The latest reports indicated 271 people injured and over 50 killed in the attack.
