As part of its peace strategy, Ukraine wants to move closer to diplomacy that will help end the war. But the question is what this diplomacy will look like, according to the speech of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

"The strategy is that we must approach any diplomacy that will lead, I am confident, to the end of the war. The question is, what will it look like?" stated Zelenskyy.

He clarified that if the diplomacy is strong, then as a result of negotiations, Ukraine will receive solid security guarantees that will prevent a repeat attack by Russian President Vladimir Putin. A strong diplomacy will also lead to a sustainable, just, and strong peace for Ukraine and Europe.

At the same time, as Zelenskyy added, if there are weak security guarantees, uncertainty, and only words, "then Russia will only offer words and will return with war."

Security guarantees for Ukraine

Ukraine insists on receiving strong security guarantees from the West after the war with Russia, which will prevent the Kremlin from repeating the invasion.

At the same time, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that any security guarantees for the country that do not involve the United States will be weak.

According to opinion polls, most Ukrainians consider the development of their own nuclear weapons to be the best security guarantee for Ukraine.
