Ukraine will receive new military aid packages following the Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting, including funding for drones, air defense systems, and logistics, states Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to his official Telegram channel.
Aid from partners
According to the president, five partner countries have confirmed contributions to the PURL program, while Norway is allocating over $500 million to supply Ukrainian brigades with drones and another $150 million for logistics. The Netherlands will direct more than €200 million toward drone procurement.
Belgium will also provide funding for ammunition and air defense, while the United Kingdom and Germany will continue working on drone supplies and the development of long-range strike capabilities.
Focus on air defense and joint production
Zelenskyy emphasized that during the meeting, partners noted the resilience of Ukrainian brigades on the battlefield.
"There is also a clear understanding of our needs in air defense and joint weapons production. The key is that every commitment announced must be fully and promptly fulfilled," the head of state stressed.
The president added that with sufficient defensive support, Russia loses the ability to achieve its occupation goals.
Partner support and Russian losses
Earlier, Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov stated that Russian occupying forces suffer massive losses during offensive attempts. According to him, for every square kilometer of Ukrainian land captured, the enemy loses hundreds of its soldiers.
On the eve of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting, Ukraine also agreed with Belgium and Spain to strengthen air defense and expand aviation support for the Ukrainian Air Force.
In addition, it became known that Ukraine and Germany are preparing joint projects in the field of air defense, focusing on the development and use of advanced laser weapons.
