Zelenskyy on strikes against Russia: We see every point of enemy concentration, political decision needed
Ukraine's partners still do not agree that Ukraine should be able to launch preventive strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation. This requires only a political decision, states the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy noted that many leaders, representatives of states and international organizations, and public figures had expressed their condolences to Ukraine and Kharkiv, while condemning Russian terror.
"It is important that this condemnation leads to fair consequences. So that we finally have enough air defense systems to protect Ukraine and our cities. And for our partners to have sufficient determination to preventively defend themselves against Russian terrorists the way they would any other terrorists - by destroying them before they start destroying lives," the President said.
He explained that the Ukrainian military knows and sees every point of concentration of Russian troops, as well as all the areas where Russian missiles and combat aircraft are launched.
"Destroying this terrorist force, and thus saving thousands of lives and guaranteeing to stop the expansion of the war, is a purely political decision. A decision that needs to be made," the head of state emphasized.
Zelenskyy supported all partners who shared this idea.
"We will work with our partners to accelerate and increase the supply of F-16s to Ukraine. This will also add to our defense against terrorist attacks on our cities and the pressure of the Russian army at the front," he said.
Strike on Kharkiv
Yesterday, the Russian military shelled Kharkiv several times. One of the strikes hit the Epicenter construction hypermarket.

Ukraine asks for permission to strike Russia
Amid Russia's new offensive in the Kharkiv region, Ukraine has intensified its calls for permission to use partner weapons to strike Russian territory.
In particular, Ukraine has appealed to the United States, France, and the United Kingdom, which are providing Ukraine with long-range missiles that could be used to strike at occupation groups in Russia near the Ukrainian border.
We have already written that Sweden, in particular, is not against Ukraine's strikes on Russia with Swedish weapons.
