Zelenskyy: Missile that killed Kyiv residents contained 116 components from US and other countries

The North Korean missile that Russia used to strike Kyiv on April 24 contained at least 116 components from various countries. Most of them were produced by American companies, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Telegram channel.
"The lack of pressure on Russia allows them to bring in such missiles and other weapons and use them here, in Europe. The lack of pressure on North Korea and its allies allows them to produce, among other things, such ballistic missiles. The missile that killed Kyiv residents contained at least 116 components imported from other countries, and most of them, unfortunately, were produced by American companies," wrote Zelenskyy.
The president noted that in today's world, any war can quickly involve many different actors, and any country that becomes a victim of aggression is always defending itself not from one aggressor, but from a group of allies. That is why, he said, it is important that defense is based on collective efforts.
"Ukraine is grateful to everyone in the world who helps protect the lives of our people, who supplies us with air defense systems and missiles for them. We thank everyone who maintains pressure on Russia for this war, on its allies. We insist that Russia must immediately and unconditionally agree to a complete ceasefire," added Zelenskyy.
He reminded that 45 days ago, Ukraine agreed to US President Donald Trump's proposal for a truce in the skies, at sea, and on the frontlines. Ukraine also proposed to make the truce complete and extend it, which could have been established for Easter.
"We also made a direct proposal to Russia to cease attacks, at least on civilian targets. All of this was rejected by Russia. That is why, without pressure, this cannot be resolved. Pressure on Russia is needed. Stopping the killings is the top priority," emphasized the president.
Russian strike on Kyiv
Last night, Russian forces launched a missile and drone attack on Kyiv. As a result of the strikes, a residential high-rise building in the Sviatoshynskyi district was partially destroyed, with civilians trapped under the rubble.
According to the latest information, 12 people were killed in the attack, and another 90 were injured.
As explained by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Russia may have attempted to exert pressure on the US through such an attack, given Washington's intentions to end the war as soon as possible.
Later, Zelenskyy reported that the missile used to strike Kyiv was a ballistic missile produced by North Korea.
