Zelenskyy meets with US Congressional delegation: Discusses situation at front and more

"I met with a delegation from the US Congress - both parties and both houses of Congress were represented. It is important that our partners see personally what is happening in Ukraine, in our regions that are being shelled by Russian terrorists and have survived the Russian occupation. I met with congressmen yesterday in Chernihiv region," the President said.

According to Zelenskyy, he informed the partners about the situation on the front line, as well as told them about the priority needs of the Ukrainian army and the extent of the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia.

"I emphasized that it is vital that the US Congress make a decision as soon as possible on further support for our country, on a corresponding package to protect us from Russian terror and for our further active actions. This is something that will definitely strengthen Ukraine and life in general," the head of state said.

Zelenskyy also noted that he is grateful to everyone in the United States, to every American heart that, like Ukrainians, does not submit to evil and values life.

Zelenskyy's visit to Chernihiv region

Yesterday, on April 5, Zelensky visited Chernihiv region to inspect the construction of fortifications.

During the visit, Zelenskyy was briefed on the construction of three lines of defense borders in the region. In particular, a continuous strip of non-explosive obstacles, minefields, and an extensive network of strongholds have been created along the entire border with Russia and Belarus.
