Zelenskyy may visit Czechia on May 4, media reports

The President of Czechia, Petr Pavel, may host the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, for an unannounced visit on Sunday, May 4, according to Seznam Zpravy and iDNES.cz.
The office of the President of Czechia publicly announced that on Sunday, his residence, Prague Castle, will be closed to visitors from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM local time.
According to media reports, this may be related to the planned visit of Zelenskyy to Czechia, but this has not been officially confirmed by either the government or the president's office.
As reported by iDNES.cz, the President of Ukraine will arrive in Prague with First Lady Olena Zelenska and will hold meetings with President Pavel, Prime Minister Petr Fiala, and Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský.
Assistance to Ukraine from Czechia
Last year, the President of Czechia, Petr Pavel, announced that his country had identified 800,000 shells that could be purchased for Ukraine. The head of state clarified that the shells could be delivered within a few weeks, but funding would be needed for this.
In June 2024, Czechia reported that the first batch of artillery shells, purchased at its initiative, had arrived in Ukraine.
Recently, it became known that Czechia, as part of its initiative, will be able to provide Ukraine with the same amount of ammunition this year as in 2024, specifically 1.5 million units.
As was recently reported, Ukraine has already received nearly 400,000 large-caliber shells from Czechia this year.
