Zelenskyy makes statement on war ending in 2025: Is it possible?

In a speech at the Munich Security Conference 2025, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that peace is possible this year. Kyiv is working on it.
“We really want peace, and we are working on it. We are preparing security guarantees as we see. We will share it with the US, and I hope they'll share their view. For me, it's important to hear all our partners in Europe who helped us,” he said.
Therefore, according to the president, it is very important to prepare all these over the next months to share them with Donald Trump.
“It's important to find time for our meetings, to make a common plan and put it on the table for Putin. And do all things that President Trump can do - put sanctions and pressure to stop the war this year, 2025, and make peace in Ukraine. This is our plan, and what we really want,” Zelenskyy added.
War in Ukraine
In February 2025, it will be three years since Russia invaded Ukraine. According to the Center for Countering Disinformation, at the beginning of January, Russia has no plans to end the war against Ukraine. Instead, it is preparing to fight through 2025.
A few days ago, Zelenskyy said that the end of Russia's war against Ukraine in 2025 is possible. It is necessary to strengthen sanctions and provide security guarantees to Ukraine.
