Zelenskyy lands in US with packed agenda of 20 UN General Assembly meetings

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, accompanied by his wife, has arrived in New York for the 81st session of the UN General Assembly. According to him, about 20 meetings are scheduled during the visit, according to a post by the Head of State's press service on Telegram.
The press service stated that these 20 meetings include: dialogue with US President Donald Trump, European leaders, senators and members of the US House of Representatives, heads of international organizations, leading American companies, and think tanks.
Zelenskyy also noted that a new Drone Deal is already prepared for signing.
"Of course, Ukraine’s number one priority is bringing peace closer and protecting the lives of our people. There are concrete security proposals and de-escalation measures that could bring the end of the war closer," the press service quoted him as saying.
Another goal for Zelenskyy and his team in New York is working on strengthening air defense and securing sufficient funding for Ukraine.
"We will hold the International Crimea Platform Summit in New York. There will be broad high-level representation from various countries, and we appreciate the involvement of all our partners and their support for our territorial integrity and sovereignty," the Head of State added.
As for the First Lady, she will speak before students and faculty at Columbia University and present the results of the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen at the UN venue.
Media reports indicated that a meeting with Zelenskyy was not on Donald Trump's schedule for the UN General Assembly.
Additionally, a source told RBC-Ukraine what Ukraine expects from the meeting between Zelenskyy and Trump.
