Zelenskyy: 'It is necessary to ceasefire and work quickly on the final deal'

The Russian president, Vladimir Putin, will have to stop the killing of civilians in Ukraine and the fire on the front if he really wants some kind of peace agreement, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, states during a joint press conference with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, in Brussels.
Zelenskyy stated that Putin has "many demands, but we do not know all of them." Therefore, if there are really so many, then the discussion will take a very large amount of time.
"And it is impossible to do this under the pressure of weapons. So, it is necessary to ceasefire and work quickly on the final deal. We will talk about it in Washington. Putin does not want to stop the killings, but he must do it," added the President.
We remind that the President of the United States, Donald Trump, quite possibly, wants to incline the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to the side of the agreement proposed by Putin. The agreement does not foresee a ceasefire, but immediately the conclusion of peace on Russian terms.
According to the media, Putin turned to the USA with a request regarding Ukraine. He wants Washington to recognize the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories as part of Russia. In addition, he allegedly proposed to freeze the front in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions in exchange for the cessation of hostilities and the withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Donbas, and promised in writing to guarantee that he will not attack Ukraine, or Europe.
