Zelenskyy holds talks with Zaluzhnyi: Personnel changes in Ukrainian Armed Forces discussed
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi. They had a serious discussion, including about reshuffles in the army, according to the Telegram channel of the President of Ukraine.
"Met with General Valerii Zaluzhnyi. Thanked him for two years of defending Ukraine," the president wrote.
According to Zelenskyy, during the meeting, they discussed the updates needed for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as raised questions about who could be in the revamped army leadership.
"Now is the time for such updates. I offered Valerii Fedorovych to continue to be on the team," Zelenskyy added.
What Zaluzhnyi says
In his Telegram channel, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that Ukraine's battle continues today, and the tasks of 2022 differ from those of 2024. Therefore, everyone must change and adapt to the new realities.
According to Zaluzhnyi, together with the president, they had an important and serious conversation during which decisions were made about the necessity of changing approaches and strategies.
"I am proud of everyone in the Armed Forces of Ukraine who defend the future of our children. All soldiers, sergeants, and officers. I bow my head to everyone who has given their life for Ukraine and freedom. We remember and will avenge everyone. Ukrainians will definitely win," added the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
Rumors about Zaluzhnyi's resignation
