Zelenskyy holds meeting on alternatives for grain export: Details
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting today, August 11th, regarding alternatives for grain export, according to a statement from the head of Ukraine on Facebook.
"We had a separate meeting with Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate Budanov, Commander-in-Chief Zalyznyi, Navy Commander Neizhpapa, Head of Security Service of Ukraine Malyuk, and the Ministry of Infrastructure, to discuss alternatives to exporting grain through the transit corridor," he stated.
According to his words, everything possible is currently being done to ensure that Ukraine continues to be a guarantor of food security and that our people have access to global markets.
Russia's exit from the "grain deal"
The export of Ukrainian agricultural products was reduced after Russia decided to withdraw from the "grain deal." The deal within this initiative allowed Ukraine to transport grain through the Black Sea.
According to the head of the state, the government, along with the military, is currently developing a clear plan for such grain transportation.
Meanwhile, Russian leader Vladimir Putin has decided to put forward a series of demands for Russia's return to the "grain deal."
