Zelenskyy holds meeting of Staff of Supreme Commander-in-Chief: Infrastructure recovery discussed
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on Monday, November 25. The topic was the restoration of Ukraine's infrastructure following the attack on November 17, according to the president's Telegram channel.
According to Zelenskyy, at the meeting, he heard reports from representatives of the Ministry of Energy, Naftogaz, and all key industry participants.
"We discussed the progress of the restoration after the Russian shelling on November 17 and the further protection of all critical facilities," Zelenskyy said.
He also mentioned that the discussion covered the issues of gas infrastructure and energy generation – nuclear, hydro, and thermal. They also discussed increasing the capacity for importing electricity into Ukraine.
"There was a report from the Air Force regarding the protection of critical infrastructure from the sky. We are taking the most effective experience in deploying air defense systems and spreading it to other regions," Zelenskyy wrote.
The president noted that there was also a report from the Ministry of Defense regarding contracting and prepayment for Ukrainian arms, ammunition, rockets, and drone manufacturers.
Russian attacks on Ukrainian territory
On November 17, Russia launched another massive shelling of Ukrainian territory, striking critical infrastructure and civilian facilities. As a result of the attack, destruction and power outages were reported in several regions.
Electricity shutdown schedules were implemented across Ukraine. Restoration of the infrastructure is currently underway.
