Zelenskyy holds first meeting of Staff of Supreme Commander-in-Chief after Peace Summit: Focus on drones
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief after returning from the Peace Summit held this weekend in Switzerland, according to the President's Telegram channel.
At the Staff, he heard reports from Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, and Major General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Anatolii Barhylevych on the situation in all directions and on the borders.
The President also heard reports from the heads of all components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces: The Armed Forces, the National Guard, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, and the State Border Guard Service, as well as the reports of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.
"The commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Vadym Sukharevskyi, presented a detailed report. He reported on all types of drones - air, land and maritime - and on all types of tasks: from tactical FPV and evacuation platforms to the so-called Deep Strike drones," the President wrote.
According to him, this area is actively developing - the number of drones produced and successfully used is growing. Ukraine is leading technological progress in this area.
"Last week, during talks with other leaders, we felt a great interest in our experience. After we win, it will become a high-tech part of Ukrainian exports," he emphasized.
Unmanned Systems Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
A new branch of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has recently been presented - the Unmanned Systems Forces. It was created on the instructions of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
On June 10, Colonel Vadym Sukharevskyi was appointed the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
