Zelenskyy holds Commander-in-Chief's Staff meeting on drones and electronic warfare
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on Thursday, July 4. It was dedicated to the production of electronic warfare systems and drones in Ukraine, he mentioned this during his evening address.
According to the President, the reports at the meeting covered drones and electronic warfare systems – their production, financing, supply, and application.
"All the specifics, including the most in-demand on the front line, particularly FPV. Of course, maximum attention was also given to our long-range drones," Zelenskyy said.
The President heard reports from the Commander of the Unmanned Operations Forces Vadym Sukharevskyi Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin, and Commander of the Air Forces Mykola Oleshchuk. Important decisions were made based on their reports.
Unmanned Systems Forces in Ukraine
In June this year, the Ministry of Defense announced the creation of a new branch of the military in Ukraine - the Unmanned Systems Forces. It is noted that the establishment of these forces in the future will allow strikes against Russian invaders at the full possible depth – all the way to the Ural.
The Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is headed by Colonel Vadym Sukharevskyi.
