Zelenskyy discusses strengthening dialogue between countries with Prince of Saudi Arabia
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during a telephone conversation with the heir and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud, discussed issues of cooperation between the countries and strengthening dialogue, according to the official online representation of the President of Ukraine.
The leaders of the states discussed current issues of cooperation between Ukraine and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the continuation of their dialogue, which began during their bilateral meeting in Jeddah on May 19.
"Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his gratitude to Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud for consistent support of all peaceful efforts," the article states.
The Ukrainian president "particularly appreciated" the successful hosting of the second meeting of national security advisors and political directors of foreign ministries from around the world in Saudi Arabia on August 5, based on the key principles of the Ukrainian "peace formula".
The Ukrainian peace formula and the summit in Jeddah
On August 5-6, a two-day summit was held in Saudi Arabia, with the main theme being the Ukrainian peace formula.
This formula has already been supported by the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Finland, and the Baltic countries. In addition, 63 countries at the ambassadorial level have already joined the discussion on the implementation of the Ukrainian peace formula.
Representatives from over 40 countries were invited to the meeting in Jeddah, including India, Brazil, Indonesia, Egypt, Mexico, and China.
