Zelenskyy confers higher ranks on Ukraine's top military leadership

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded the military rank of lieutenant general to the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Hnatov. New ranks were also received by officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Foreign Intelligence Service, the State Border Guard Service, and the Security Service of Ukraine, according to the presidential decree №641.
"To award the military rank of lieutenant general to Major General Hnatov Andriy Viktorovych – Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the decree states.
The rank of brigadier general was received by:

Deputy Commander of the National Guard Oleksiy Osypenko,

First Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Oleh Voyevodin,

Commander of the 21st Army Corps of the Operational Command North of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Kurach,

Commander of the 16th Army Corps of the Operational Command North of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukrain,e Yevheniy Kurash,
-
Chief of Staff – Deputy Commander of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andriy Tkachuk.

Recently, Zelenskyy awarded dozens of fighters of the National Guard, police, State Emergency Service, and border guard service. Colonel of the National Guard Denys Prokopenko Redis was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi of the II degree.
