Zelenskyy comments on Ukraine's drone exports
The export of Ukrainian drones is only possible to Ukraine Defense Contact Group countries, as they help Ukraine and allocate funds for drone production, stated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to Zelenskyy, he asked Defense Minister Rustem Umerov to think about what models of drone exports from Ukraine could be possible.
"I have seen a couple of ideas. I exclude the possibility of export. It's very dangerous. If we export to someone and it ends up in Russia - that's one thing. The second point is that it should only be to Ramstein group countries, as they helped us," the President noted.
He added that among the Ramstein group countries, there are those that have provided Ukraine with funds for drone production.
"So I'm not opposed if something develops. But with all due respect to Middle Eastern and other countries -those that have not helped us with weapons, I don't think we have the right to export there," Zelenskyy emphasized.
Ukraine's drone exports
Recently, the French publication Le Monde reported that since the summer of this year, Tuareg rebels from the CSP movement in northern Mali have been actively using Ukrainian drones in their fight against the Malian junta and the Wagner Group.
According to the publication, Kyiv is providing them with cautious but decisive support.
However, this information has been denied in Ukraine. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry firmly rejects accusations of Ukraine's involvement in supplying drones to the rebels in Mali.
