Zelenskyy calls electronic warfare key priority for 2024

According to the President, today he heard reports on the situation at the front, from the military, as well as reports from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Emergency Service, and regional authorities on the work of air defense.

"Since the beginning of the year and up to now, 359 Shaheds have been shot down. The accuracy of our defenders of the sky, the work of the electronic warfare system, and the support of each of our partners in terms of air shields literally save lives. We are working to increase the effectiveness of our mobile firing groups and to ensure that even more regions of Ukraine receive electronic warfare systems. This is one of the key priorities of the year," Zelenskyy emphasized.

Ukraine is developing electronic warfare

As Russia uses drones and missiles against Ukrainians, Ukraine requires electronic warfare equipment. According to Digital Transformation Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine has ambitions to bring electronic warfare production to the market and open it up to entrepreneurs.

In addition, according to Fedorov, Ukraine may create a separate brigade for electronic warfare.

Drone attack on Ukraine

On the night of February 11, Russian troops again attacked Ukraine with Shahed attack drones. The enemy used 45 attack drones against Ukrainians, 40 of which were destroyed.

In the Dnipro region, two enemy drones were shot down over the Dnipro district. A man was injured as a result of falling debris. In Kyiv region, a fire broke out due to the falling wreckage of the downed Shaheds.

Enemy drones also attacked Mykolaiv region. A fire broke out on the open territory of an infrastructure facility, and an administrative building, residential buildings, cars, and a gas pipeline were damaged. One person was injured.
