Zelenskyy arrives to Switzerland on working visit
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Switzerland for a working visit on Monday, January 15, according to the president's Telegram channel.
"I have arrived in Switzerland for a working visit. Will meet with the country's leaders and participate in the Davos Forum. In Bern, I will hold talks with the heads of both chambers of parliament, party leaders, and factions, as well as with President Viola Amherd," wrote Zelenskyy.
According to the president, he will also express gratitude for Switzerland's principled support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
"I believe that Switzerland's participation in the Peace Formula and its relevant experience will help bring about a just peace based on our vision," noted the head of state.
Zelenskyy will also discuss the return of abducted children, sanctions, and the search for mechanisms to utilize frozen Russian assets, as well as cooperation on humanitarian demining, financial support, and the reconstruction of Ukraine.
"In Davos, I will have important bilateral meetings with EU and NATO representatives to support the momentum of our Euro-Atlantic integration. Additionally, I will meet with leaders of states and major businesses to enhance Ukraine's defense and economic resilience," added the president.
Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis also confirmed Zelenskyy's arrival and posted a photo with the Ukrainian president on Twitter.
"Welcome to Switzerland, Mr. President," he wrote.
