UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer met with Zelenskyy at the European Political Community summit in Oxfordshire.
Starmer welcomed the leaders to the summit and said that the priority was to reaffirm unwavering support for Ukraine.
He notes that Zelenskiy had previously asked for additional air defense funds before the start of the new school year.
He says that it really struck him because going back to school after summer vacation should be a moment of joy and excitement for children, with new uniforms, new notebooks, talking about how much their friends had grown over the summer, and reuniting with friends. He questions how anyone could see that as a goal
Earlier, The Guardian reported that Zelenskyy would visit the UK and Ireland.
