Zelenskyy arrives in Norway for talks with Prime Minister Støre

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Norway this morning, October 22, for an official visit. In the country’s capital, Oslo, he met with the Prime Minister of the host country, according to the spokesperson for the President of Ukraine, Serhii Nykyforov, to journalists and Aftenposten.
"I warmly welcome President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska. Norway supports Ukraine in its pursuit of a strong and just peace that the Ukrainian people deserve," said Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.
It is noted that the visit to Norway is part of Zelenskyy’s European tour. The content of his meeting with Støre is currently unknown.
"Norway provides Ukraine with firm and consistent support. It is extremely important to maintain close dialogue with the Ukrainian authorities to ensure this support matches needs on the ground," Støre emphasized.
It is known that after the meeting with Støre, the President of Ukraine will travel to Sweden.
Norway’s aid to Ukraine
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced agreements with Norway and the Netherlands on assistance to restore Ukraine’s energy system after Russian attacks.
Norway has also announced an increase in civilian support for Ukraine in 2026. The funds will be directed toward restoring the energy sector, supporting hospitals and schools, providing humanitarian aid, and strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
The Norwegian government proposes increasing civilian support to Ukraine by 15 billion Norwegian kroner, equivalent to approximately $1.73 billion, in 2026.
