"I arrived in Spain to sign a bilateral security agreement and hold talks with Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. We will talk about continuing defense cooperation, preparing a new military aid package, and training the Ukrainian military," he said.

The president added that they would coordinate the steps of Spain and Ukraine on the Peace Summit and the European Council summit so that each of them would yield tangible results.

"I will also be received by His Majesty King Felipe VI and meet with the heads of the chambers and factions of the Spanish Parliament," he added.

Zelenskyy's visit to Spain

Earlier, Spanish media reported that Zelenskyy would soon visit Madrid to sign a bilateral security agreement.

However, the President of Ukraine was forced to cancel his visits to Spain and Portugal after the Russian offensive on Kharkiv started.
