Zelenskyy appoints Reznikov's deputy Ambassador to India
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Oleksandr Polishchuk as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Republic of India, according to the presidential decree.
By another decree, Zelenskyy appointed Yuriy Polyukhovych, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Peru, as the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Colombia concurrently.
Oleksandr Polishchuk
Major General in reserve Oleksandr Polishchuk, born in 1963, has served as the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine since October 2019. He is also the Chairman of the Interagency Commission on Defense Industry Policy and Export Control (since December 2019).
He has diplomatic experience as the Deputy Military Representative of Ukraine to NATO from 2004 to 2007.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Melnyk as the Ambassador of Ukraine to Brazil. Melnyk served as the Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany from 2014 to 2022 and gained fame for his outspoken statements.
