Head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office Andrii Yermak held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Hungary, Péter Szijjártó and discussed the upcoming visit of the latter to Uzhhorod, according to the press service of the Presidential Office.

"The interlocutors discussed preparations for the meeting to be held on January 29 in Uzhhorod. The Ukrainian side is to be represented by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and the Head of the Presidential Office," the press service writes.

According to Yermak, the Ukrainian side is committed to an open dialogue to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries.

In particular, the Head of the President's Office also thanked Péter Szijjártó for Hungary's participation in the meeting of national security and foreign policy advisors on the implementation of the Peace Formula held in Davos.

Zelenskyy-Orban meeting

In late December, the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, accepted the invitation from the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, for a bilateral meeting. This will be the first official bilateral meeting between the two leaders since the beginning of the war.

According to the president, he has never discussed the cessation of hostilities or potential dialogue with the dictator Vladimir Putin with the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban.
