Yemeni Houthi rebels launched a large number of ballistic missiles and drones towards Israel, according to Houthi representative Yahya Saree on Twitter.
This marks the third attack by the Houthis on Israel, as stated by Saree, who warned of more such strikes. Iran supports the Houthis and has been fighting against the Yemeni government since 2004.

In related events, on October 7, Hamas militants invaded Israel, engaging in the kidnapping and killing of civilians. Other groups, including Hezbollah and the Houthis, expressed support for Hamas and have previously launched attacks on Israeli territory.
Recently, the Houthis attempted to target the U.S. Navy ship USS Carney with missiles near the coast of Yemen.
