Yeast bread during weight loss: Coach's comment
Many people who want to lose weight are convinced that yeast bread doesn't help with weight loss.
Coach and nutritionist Viktor Mandziak explained whether this is true.
"Bread contains quite a few calories: starch, sugar, protein, and even a bit of fat. But people weren't afraid of the calories; they were specifically afraid of the yeast. However, no one explained how yeast bread supposedly harms the waistline," the coach wrote.
According to him, the yeast Saccharomyces Cerevisiae can't survive high temperatures, and it dies off at 50°C.
"No bread on this planet has ever been baked at a temperature lower than this. So, there is no yeast in bread; we've used it up and destroyed it," the expert clarified.
He explained that it makes no difference to the body or figure whether bread is made with yeast or sourdough.
Yeast bread doesn't affect your body.
"This is a myth that grows and spreads among people, just like the dough from my childhood. People are just uninformed," the expert says.
Viktor advises consuming whole-grain bread for better health, as it contains more fiber, which makes food more filling and reduces calorie absorption.
