During the nighttime attack by Russian forces in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv, the building of the sports complex of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was damaged, reported Serhii Manziuk, Vice-Rector for Administrative and Financial Affairs of KPI.

Manziuk confirmed the information about the damage to the sports complex but mentioned that there was no fire, as social media reported.

He added that as a result of the shelling, windows in the building were shattered and called on those willing to help clear the broken glass.

As a result of another attack, the institute's buildings and structures were damaged too.

Shelling of Kyiv on the night of June 23

On the evening of Sunday, June 22, the enemy launched another massive combined attack on Ukraine. In particular, the terrorists attacked Kyiv and the Kyiv region using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and ballistic missiles.

During the air raid, damage was recorded in many districts of the capital and several settlements in the region. In particular, the infrastructure of the Sviatoshyn metro station was damaged.

According to the latest information, six people are known to have died.
