These are world's 20 most welcoming cities for tourists

Holafly analyzed 200 cities worldwide to identify the most comfortable destinations for international travelers.
The ranking was based on several key factors:
- safety levels
- visa openness
- number of tourist and information centers
- English proficiency among local residents
Singapore claimed the top spot thanks to its strong performance across all categories. The city-state scored 77.7 on the Numbeo Safety Index, 164 on the Henley Passport Index for visa openness, and stood out for its extensive network of tourist information centers.
London named Europe's most welcoming city
London ranked second globally, making it the highest-ranked city in Europe for international visitors. Edinburgh also secured a place in the top 20, finishing 11th.
Besides the UK, two other European countries placed two cities each in the top 20:
- Denmark – Copenhagen (9th) and Aarhus (10th)
- Czech Republic – Prague (16th) and Brno (20th)
Canada had the strongest overall representation, with three cities making the list:
- Ottawa (14th)
- Toronto (18th)
- Montreal (19th)

How the ranking was compiled
The authors emphasize that the study does not measure tourist popularity or the number of attractions. Instead, it focuses on how comfortable and convenient a city is for international visitors, taking into account safety, accessibility, and the quality of tourism services.
