Witkoff had to wait eight hours to meet Putin, says Sky News

US President's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, waited for eight hours to meet with Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin. During this time, Putin was meeting with Alexander Lukashenko, Sky News informs.
According to footage, as reported by the publication, showing his convoy leaving and returning to Moscow's Vnukovo Airport, he spent just over 12 hours in the city, indicating that "Steve Witkoff didn't stay long in the Russian capital."
"And for most of that, it seems, he was left waiting. After arriving around lunchtime on Thursday, he was left twiddling his thumbs for at least eight hours before being called into the Kremlin," the journalists say.
The authors of the article conclude that "Putin was apparently too busy " meeting with Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko as part of the "hastily arranged state visit," which had been announced the day before.
Witkoff's visit to Moscow
Witkoff was sent to Moscow on March 13 to deliver the US proposal for a 30-day ceasefire to Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin. This was Witkoff's second visit to Russia.
His trip was scheduled after US-Ukrainian talks in Saudi Arabia on March 11, during which the 30-day ceasefire on the frontlines in Ukraine was agreed upon. The US also resumed military aid supplies and intelligence sharing with Ukraine during those talks.
