What could be game changer in Ukraine-Russia war: Head of OP comments
The lifting of any restrictions on the use of Western weapons for Ukraine could significantly impact the course of the war with Russia, according to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andrii Yermak, at the NATO Public Forum.
He said that real changes on the frontlines are possible when Ukraine's partners remove all restrictions on the use of weapons provided to Ukrainian defenders. This includes strikes deep into Russian territory.
"I believe this will be a real game-changer, and I hope that our partners understand that and agree on this decisions as soon as possible," Yermak added.
The head of the Office emphasized that Russia has no restrictions on strikes against Ukrainian hospitals and schools.
Restrictions for Ukraine
Recently, Ukraine's partners have begun lifting restrictions on strikes on Russian territory with the weapons they previously supplied.
In particular, the United States has allowed strikes on Russian soldiers and equipment located in border areas. However, restrictions continue to apply to long-range weapons.
Recently, Ukraine's Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, said that during a visit to Washington, the Ukrainian delegation is working to get the US to allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces to strike airfields on Russian territory.
