The new week, from August 18 to 24, will bring us the last day of retrograde Mercury, a new moon, and various degrees, both destructive and royal. And each day will carry both chances for success and certain risks. Exclusively for RBC-Ukraine, Ukrainian astrologer Kateryna Solovyova prepared a weekly horoscope and shared important advice.
August 18
An unfavorable period for surgical and dental procedures. Until 2:53 PM Kyiv time, new activities and important decisions are possible, as well as visiting the hairdresser. This is the last day of retrograde Mercury.
"A favorable day for everything related to construction. Too active actions and haste are not recommended. Baths, saunas, and physical exercise are recommended," said the astrologer.
On August 18, from 2:53 to 10:05 PM Kyiv time, the Moon will be void of course, which is equivalent to the effect of retrograde Mercury.
August 19
"An unfavorable period for new activities and important decisions, surgical and dental procedures, possible visits to the hairdresser, marriage registration, or romantic dates. It is effective for breaking ties with unreliable people, separating from partners, filing appeals, and seeking protection," advises Solovyova.
Do not waste your energy, and avoid active activity. The astrologer warned about a high likelihood of theft. On this day, it is also not recommended to do household chores.
August 20
"It is better not to plan important negotiations, signing new contracts, purchasing equipment, important business trips, exams, making necessary payments, or clarifying relationships with neighbors. It is advisable to repay debts," said the expert.
Avoid alcohol and open flames. It is recommended to do household chores.
"Avoid unnecessary chatter, gossip, and misinformation, and keep an eye on your belongings so as not to lose them. Fraud and deception are possible. From 3:27 PM to midnight Kyiv time, the Moon will be void of course," Solovyova warned.
In addition, from 10:05 AM on August 20 until 07:58 AM Kyiv time on August 21, Mercury will be in the destructive degree of Leo.
"In Leo, this degree brings pessimism, pride, disappointment in creative abilities, sometimes physical illness, depravity, loss of money, problems with children, and misunderstandings with sexual partners. The degree can manifest in two ways: either the person will destroy others, or life will destroy them," Solovyova reminded.
August 21
A day to resolve conflicts. You can also do repairs or visit the hairdresser.
"Because of the general background of the day, it is better not to start new things related to business, law, travel, education, science, or anything connected to foreign affairs: languages, international relations, foreign cooperation, and so on," said the astrologer.
On August 21, from 12:56 to 2:42 PM Kyiv time, the Moon, which is responsible for our emotions, psyche, soul, subconscious, instincts, feelings, mood, receptivity, vulnerability, and emotional variability, will be in the royal degree of Leo.
"The main characteristics of this degree in Leo are wisdom, uniqueness, courage, humanity, and physical and moral strength. A creative component is added, so those engaged in art or public speaking will benefit from success and incredible luck. The degree provides impressiveness and royal serenity," the expert reminded.
Then, from 6:17 to 8:03 PM Kyiv time, the Moon will move into the destructive degree of Leo. This is an unfavorable period for those holding leadership positions in professional or public activities, and for those connected with the world of art and culture.
August 22
"A stressful day. Avoid alcohol and sexual contact. Finish tasks, sum up results, pay debts, and prepare necessary reports. Refrain from romance," said the astrologer.
All day, the Moon will be void of course. Therefore, it is not worth buying anything important or starting new activities.
August 23
"An unfavorable period for new activities and important decisions, dental and surgical procedures, or visits to the hairdresser. It is not allowed to register a marriage, make expensive purchases, or undergo plastic or cosmetic procedures. Avoid sexual entertainment," warned Solovyova.
On August 23 at 09:06 AM Kyiv time, the exact phase of the new moon will occur.
"Pay attention to your thoughts: the mental images you form should be exclusively positive because soon all generated fantasies will easily manifest in life. It is a good time for planning: everything conceived now has more chances of realization than at other lunar phases," said the astrologer.
On August 23, the Moon and the Sun will be in Virgo, in tense aspects with Uranus (the planet of surprises, revolutionary changes, reforms, freedom, independence, natural disasters, innovations, and high technology). This means that everything planned will face certain problems during its implementation.
August 24
On this day, the astrologer advises refraining from new activities. It is also not worth making serious decisions, and visits to the dentist and hairdresser are better postponed.
"During this period, intuition is heightened: by feelings, it is easier than usual to determine who is worth communicating with and who is not, which food is useful and which is not. You can lend money. It is effective to get rid of parasites, rodents, and dirt in the house," Solovyova noted.
