On the night of January 31, unidentified drones once again attacked several regions of Russia. In particular, a fire broke out at an oil depot in the Volgograd region due to the attack, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing Russian Telegram channels.

According to Russians, the sounds of explosions, drone flights, and gunfire were heard around 3 a.m. local time. The SHOT channel wrote that they were heard near a local oil depot in the Krasnoarmeysky district. Some other media sources and public pages claim that the Lukoil oil refinery in Volgograd was attacked. However, it should be noted that this is still preliminary information.

Official information about the attack emerged only closer to the morning. Regional governor Andrey Bocharov confirmed that a fire broke out at the refinery but claimed it happened due to the alleged "falling debris" of a UAV. He did not specify which city was attacked.

"An attack by eight UAVs was repelled in the Volgograd region. As a result of falling debris from one of the UAVs, a fire broke out at the oil refinery, which was promptly extinguished," the governor stated.

Bocharov also claims that one worker was reportedly injured in the attack and was hospitalized.

On January 30, the Druzhba oil pipeline station near Novozybkov in the Bryansk region might have been attacked. At least the ASTRA channel reported that drones had attempted to attack it.

Later, footage of the fire in Novozybkov appeared online, and satellites also captured the fire near the Druzhba oil pipeline station.
