Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois will soon have their rematch for the title of undisputed world champion in the heavyweight division - the new date for the fight for all the belts has been revealed, the authoritative boxing resource The Ring reports.

Date and location of Usyk vs Dubois rematch

Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois will have their rematch on July 19, 2025, at the legendary Wembley Stadium in London.

Initially, the fight was planned for July 12, but the organizers decided to move it one week later.

This will be the second meeting between the Ukrainian and the British: in August 2023, Usyk won by technical knockout in the ninth round.

Why fight is not guaranteed

Arranging the rematch turned out to be difficult. Usyk was supposed to defend his WBO title against Joseph Parker, and Dubois was set to fight for the IBF title against Derek Chisora. Moreover, the International Boxing Federation required its champion to defend his title in accordance with the organization's rules.

However, due to high interest from promoters and broadcasters, and following a petition to give the rematch priority status, the WBO allowed the fight, and Usyk's team officially requested an exception.

Prediction for Usyk vs Dubois 2 fight

The last time the Ukrainian boxer stepped into the ring was in December 2024 for a rematch with Fury. Dubois, on the other hand, has not fought since September, when he knocked out Anthony Joshua in the fifth round. Therefore, the fight at Wembley promises to be not just a rematch, but a grand return for both boxers and the biggest event of the year in the world of boxing.

Meanwhile, bookmakers unanimously consider Usyk the favorite for the upcoming bout. The average odds for the fight's outcome are as follows:

  • Usyk win: 1.11-1.15;
  • Dubois win: 7.00-9.50;
  • Draw: 26.00.

Bookmakers also assess the probability of Usyk winning by knockout or technical knockout with odds around 1.40-1.52, while a win by points is rated between 3.40-3.60.

Most boxing analysts and former champions lean towards a Usyk victory, but some believe Dubois has a chance in the rematch.

Former world champion Tony Bellew thinks "Dubois will be stopped between the eighth and twelfth rounds."

Another ex-world champion, Duke McKenzie, is confident that the Ukrainian "will retire undefeated."

However, British trainer Mark Tibbs emphasizes that "Dubois has improved since the last fight."

"If he (Dubois - ed.) turns the fight into a technical one right from the start, then it will be a truly close rematch. It's a 50-50 chance," Tibbs says.

Earlier, the reports indicated that Usyk is actively seeking sparring partners to prepare for the new fight.
