Former undisputed heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk has entered the prestigious ranking of the most influential figures in modern boxing. The Ukrainian is among the 50 most influential people in the industry, according to the BN50 ranking.
Usyk's position in the ranking
The Ukrainian boxer placed 18th in the annual The Boxing News Power List.
The list includes more than just current and former boxers. It also features promoters, officials, organization executives and other influential figures in the professional boxing industry.
Interestingly, Usyk ranked below two of his former opponents. Tyson Fury took 14th place, while Anthony Joshua ranked 15th. Both Britons therefore finished ahead of the Ukrainian in the influence ranking.
Who topped the ranking
The top spots in the ranking predictably went to the main officials and investors of world boxing. Saudi official Turki Alalshikh topped the list. Well-known promoter Frank Warren took second place, and Matchroom Boxing chief Eddie Hearn secured the third position.
This is not Usyk’s first major recognition of his influence in 2026. In June, the Ukrainian was included in TIME magazine’s prestigious TIME100 Most Influential People in Sports list, which is compiled annually.
