US warns Americans against traveling to Ukraine amid persistent Russian attacks

The US State Department updates its travel advisory for Ukraine and urges US citizens to refrain from visiting the country due to the war and ongoing Russian attacks.
The United States maintains the highest, fourth-level travel advisory for Ukraine—Do Not Travel. Americans are advised not to visit the country for any reason due to Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine.
The State Department clarifies that the level of the travel advisory for Ukraine itself has not changed.
At the same time, the department updates information on the risks associated with the armed conflict, as well as the general description of the advisory for US citizens.
The primary reasons for maintaining the highest risk level remain the war and Russia's missile strikes on Ukrainian territory.
Despite the security situation, the US Embassy in Kyiv continues to operate.
Russia continues its intense attacks on Ukraine, particularly its regional centers. Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, and Kharkiv are the cities where Russia carries out acts of terror, damaging civilian infrastructure in the process. As a result, people are killed, and there are usually far more wounded.
The Polish Prime Minister stated that Russia was preparing for an escalation of the war, affecting not only Ukraine but the region as a whole. At the same time, NATO stated that it did not expect a Russian attack.
